For 2022, Subaru has introduced many vehicles in its lineup. One such automobile that is making a debut sometime later this year is the Subaru Forester Wilderness. While not much is known at this time about the Forester Wilderness, there are several pieces of information we’d like to share to get customers excited for this new ride.
What Makes the Subaru Forester Wilderness Standout?
With the introduction of the Outback Wilderness earlier this year, it’s a safe bet that the Forester Wilderness will have several of the same features. Some of those features include a new rugged exterior design, a considerable lift, and all-terrain tires on unique wheels. These upgrades should help make the Forester model a more versatile crossover.
While we can’t delve into specifics, like fuel economy, engine specs, or unique features, Subaru has released information about what all wilderness models will have available upon release. Here are a few things Pocatello drivers should be excited about in the 2022 Forester Wilderness.
An Enhanced Exterior
Similar to that of the Outback Wilderness, the Forester Wilderness will have new enhanced exterior features like a 9-inch ground clearance, front skid plates, and redesigned bumpers to handle even the harshest of environments.
Unique All-Terrain Tires
To make the Forester Wilderness prepared for any trail, a set of 17-inch all-terrain Yokohama tires are installed. There is also a full-sized spare hidden in the trunk should the unexpected happen.
A New All-Wheel Drive Drivetrain
Designed with off-roading in mind, the Forester Wilderness is installed with a symmetrical all-wheel drive drivetrain. This drivetrain offers better handling, increased efficiency, and a fast response time.
Upgraded Drive Settings
When driving off the beaten path, one must be aware that things like snow, dirt, and mud can cause a vehicle to have less traction or even get stuck. To help prevent this from happening, Subaru has upgraded the drive settings with X-Mode, an exclusive drive system to help you through any environment.
New Gear Ratios
When out on the trail, it’s not uncommon to run across instances where your vehicle will need the ability to climb over obstacles. Subaru has installed a set of revised gear ratios designed for improved low-speed climbing power to make this part of your journey easier.
Strong Revamped Roof Rails
Off-roading is at the forefront of the Forester Wilderness, and it's why a set of revamped roof rails have been equipped to the top of the vehicle and are said to support a rooftop tent.
LED Cargo Lights
To help Rockland drivers navigate through their things when light sources are scarce, a set of LED lights have been installed in the cargo bay door.
A Durable Upholstery
When venturing into the wilds you may want to bring along equipment like a tent or companions like a dog or a couple of friends. To ensure that whomever or whatever you bring along with you doesn’t damage the inside of your new ride, durable water-resistant upholstery has been outfitted on all the seats.
