#2: DriverFocus™ Distraction Mitigation System
The available DriverFocus™ Distraction Mitigation System is an alert application that uses a dashboard-mounted camera to monitor your facial expressions behind the wheel. When you first activate this feature, it scans an image of your face to build a profile. Should you start to feel fatigued or distracted, the camera senses these changes in your facial expressions. The system alerts you accordingly to ensure you stay focused during your drive and get to your destination safely.
#3: Subaru Intelligent Drive
The Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-DRIVE) is an enhancement feature that comes available on many new cars equipped with Lineartronic® continuously variable transmission (CVT). This feature uses a dial that needs the center console, enabling you to switch between three drive modes: Intelligent (I), Sport (S), and Sport Sharp (S#). Intelligent mode opens the engine throttle gradually to improve fuel economy, while Sport mode speeds up throttle response for quicker acceleration. The Sport Sharp setting is a great choice for a leisurely Sunday drive down the highway near Rockland and profiles the most precise rev control for the Lineartronic CVT.
#4: StarTex® Water Repellant Upholstery
StarTex™ water-repellant upholstery is a new available interior style available on our most outdoor-savvy Subaru crossovers: the Outback and Crosstrek. Whether taking a kayaking trip or biking around the Snake River and American Falls Reservoir, this comfortable vinyl blend can become every adventurer's best friend. Its water-repellent nature makes this interior seating option easy to clean when tracking in mud and snow.
#5: Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control
The new Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control is an update to the previously-existing EyeSight Driver Assist Feature. The previous Adaptive Cruise Control feature kept the vehicle relegated to the driver's speed, adjusting brakes accordingly to prevent tailgating. With this advanced version, drivers can now set the distance they wish to keep from the vehicle in front of you (within reason). This app still applies brakes when needed for safety and uses Lane Centering to prevent unwanted drifting.
