The Subarus on our lot at Phil Meador Subaru has attracted a lot of attention from customers. These reliable vehicles have excellent capability, and they come with many practical features. One of the models is different from the rest, however. The Subaru Ascent is the only Subaru to have three rows of seats, and this is why it's become an intriguing option for many Pocatello customers.
Some of the new Ascents have room for eight people. They can fit two in the front row, three in the middle, and three more in the back. The Base trim comes standard with eight seats, and the Premium and Limited are available with this seating configuration. The Premium and Limited, alternatively, can come with seating for seven total passengers.
Instead of having a bench seat in the middle row, one of these models would have a pair of captain's chairs. The Onyx Edition, Onyx Edition Limited, and Touring also come standard with this seating arrangement. It might appeal to customers who prefer having a more open cabin.
Regardless of what arrangement you select, your second-row passengers will have almost 39 inches of legroom, and those in the third row will have about 32 inches of legroom.
All trims feature a 60/40 bench seat in their third row. With this type of seat, you can lower one side of the bench independently of the other. This provides flexibility when you're loading cargo but still need room for passengers. As a bonus, the third-row seatback can recline so that passengers can get more comfortable. The second-row seats can recline as well.
On the first few trims, you'll find cloth upholstery. The Onyx Edition and Onyx Edition Limited have StarTex upholstery, and the others in the top half of the lineup feature leather seats.
